New Orleans' Po-Boy
Is A Rich Food Tradition
A newcomer to the French Quarter is Stanley! (1031 Decatur St., 504.587.0091), a casual chef/owner and a Tennessee Williams literary reference to the upscale bistro Stella! (1032 Chartes St., 504-587-0091) around the corner. Stanley! has the honor of being the first new restaurant to open in New Orleans following Katrina. At Stanley, get the excellent fried oyster or fried soft shell crab po-boys dressed with tangy coleslaw or the unusual (and mouthwatering) Korean barbecue beef po-boy. Diners can even start the day with a breakfast po-boy here, stuffed with poached eggs, smoked bacon and hollandaise.
